One of the fun moments of the day. Here is Donna risking it all for the shot. I left out the photo of Donna getting a pinch in the butt on the way down the ladder from Grandpa. I will leave that to your imagination. :)

I love it. It is now in our kitchen above our table.

There was this game I had never seen being played at the BBQ. Each player has 3 sets of golf balls. Each set has two golf balls with holes drilled in them and a string through the holes. You toss your golf ball thing at this ladder. The top rung is 1 point, second rung 2 points and the third rung is 3 points.
There are 4 players two on each side playing as teams.
Very interesting. I hit the second rung one time. I did not play very well.
BBQ with the family

We went to a BBQ with the family today. It was a nice afternoon.
Here is our fireworks show from our walkway to our home.
I was watching some fireworks on TV, when I heard them go off outside. Next year we will have to sit outside with lawn chairs and watch the whole thing. Our chairs were still wet from the rainy day. I am glad we did not miss out on the fireworks show.
Fisher's holiday snooze - Happy 4th

Happy 4th of July from Fisher and Basil. Basil is sitting with Jeremiah while he is playing chess. It has been a bit of a rainy day here. I did pick my first summer squash and had it for lunch today. I also went shopping for some dessert and salad we are bringing to a BBQ tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully tomorrow is a nice day.
This is Crisisknitter's scarf in the traveling scarf group. The owner requested fall like colors to be used. I knit the top brown section. The second section up from the bottom is made from Malabrigo yarn. I have never seen that yarn up close or touched it. It is an expensive yarn that was made by a company that had a fire and now the yarn is very hard to come by. http://malabrigoyarn.com/
The scarf is going off in the mail to Judith tomorrow.
The Triplets

I have been trying to get a good photo of the triplets for 2 weeks now. Today they came up to Jeremiah and I while we were visiting the pond.
Here is the hand spun I made last night. Everyone always names their yarn. I made two full bobbins of single ply and plied them together this morning. I added a few sparkles to this set. I have enough fiber to make two more skeins this size, in this colorway.
Recently, I joined an apron swap. My partner requested a full apron and she loves bandanna fabrics. Here is what I picked out with the use of coupons, and a half price fabric sale at the fabric place by my house. Last night I pre-washed the fabric. Its all laid out on my ironing board ready for me to get started today.
Here is an updated picture of our garden. I was waiting for a nice sunny day to take a new photo.
Everything is getting so big.
We have a few large plants under the tree in the main photo. It looks like I will have lots of salads this summer.
