I just got this Easter gift in the mail from Kris and Gail. (My Sister and her Hubby) I am so excited. I was just at our local book store looking and did not find it there. I was so happy to see it I let out a little yelp.
I cant wait to open it up and take a look.

I cut out about a quarter inch around the stitching.

I then hand stitched around the bunny. On the back of this fabric is the green felt. I stitched the embroidered bunny face down so I could later turn it inside out.

I lost my Easter lamb pin that my MIL gave me years ago the other day. I decided I needed to make another Easter pin for my sweater or jacket. Here is the tutorial I made up showing step by step how to make the bunny pin.
I took a piece of cotton fabric and stitched a drawing of a bunny I came up with. I used a green piece of felt for the backing.
When, I moved to Ohio I stumbled upon this brownie. I have been searching on the net for the calorie content. I am sure there are other people wondering what it is also.
They are the best brownie I have ever tasted, but I can see why.
I decided to post it on my blog when I found it so everyone else looking can find it also.
The Original has 370 calories (190 calories from fat)
Not a Nutter has 370 calories (170 calories from fat)
German Chocolate has 380 calories (220 calories from fat)
Peanut Butter has 440 calories (230 calories from fat)
Here is the kicker each brownie serves 4. So, take the calories listed above and 4 times the original 370 calories = 1480 calories in each original brownie. I found out the kicker while reading this blog. Very sneeky but pretty tasty.
The swans are all grown up!

Last Fall, six baby swans arrived at the pond on the property where we live. They were all gray and dirty looking. Jeremiah my husband went out for a new photo of the swans last week. They are all grown up, so white and pretty. I love driving in and seeing them each night on my way home.

I have made this pattern several times. I usually modify the pattern by making a garter stitch base. I pick up around the rectangle for the base and then follow the pattern. I have somewhat modified the top of the bag so it has a larger opening. I use the handles from this free bag pattern. http://disdressed.blogspot.com/2006/08/string-bag.html
This past week has been a busy one. I filled out an application and brought in all my certifications to a local gym. Including the CPR I just re-certified for on a recent Saturday. I got a call early in the week asking me to come in and audition for a job teaching spinning.
Let me just say the word audition freaks me out.
I had an audition on Wednesday and I felt pretty sick to my stomach going in there.
One of the other teachers mentioned to me if they don't like me they will just ask me to leave with in the first 30 seconds. (yikes!)
This is why I felt sick to my stomach. But, I decided if it was meant to be it would work out.
It all worked out and the lady auditioning me just stood there and watched me teach a non existant class. So, I stayed and filled out paperwork for another hour or so. Yesterday, they flew a lady in from Canada do another spinning certification. (brand specific)
Most of the ladies that went to that with me were from other clubs around the area. I only recognized one other teacher from our club.
It was good to brush up on all the new rules that now apply to teaching cycling.
I spent the afternoon making new playlists to begin teaching with.
I have a Thursday night class I am teaching beginning April 9th. I am also going to sub when needed.

Here is Susiewick's scarf it came through my house about a month ago. I have been slacking at posting to my blog. I have been busy getting ready to re-certify for CPR next Saturday. I am training to start teaching spinning at the gym again. So I have been spending way to many of my spare hours at the gym lately.

Here they are my first pair of knit socks I have ever completed. I ended up making the second sock two times. I was way off in my stitch count and the second sock was much larger than the first.
They are called Vanilla socks because they are a plain sock with no special stitches.
