Jeremiah was out hiking and took this pic of a mountain goat on the trail last week.
I believe he was at Quandary Peak hiking.
I have only seen these at the Denver zoo.

Here are the cooked beets. I like to put them on salads or pickle them. Or just eat them warm with ICBN spray on them.

Here is my purchases from the market.
I always think it is fun to show what I brought home.
The box is homemade winter squash ravioli. I froze them for later use. The carrots are wonderful.

I have been working 2 jobs and have not been blogging much. This is the first farmers market I have been able to attend.
It was really crowded and hot and parking was a nightmere.
But I am off from work this morning and thougth I would go looking for it after my spinning class.

Jeremiah just finished this puzzle yesterday.
I have been working quite a bit lately. I am working for a car dealership and working a second job on the weekends doing events in the Denver area.
Last night I worked at a block party in LODO (downtown Denver).
There was a band and lots of people in a closed off city block.

Fingerless Mitts for Mom

Fingerless Mitts for Mom
Originally uploaded by whirledpeas00

I am quite obsessed with knitting fingerless mitts. I must have at least 6 pairs that I have knit for myself.
I keep knitting them for others. I am always trying to change the pattern to make the perfect pair. This yarn had a color change so the pair is not the same color.

Mothers Day Shawl

Mothers Day Shawl

I admit I was a little late finishing my Mothers Day Shawl. Here is my Mom in her new summertime shawl.
The pattern is from a Noro book and it called Sursa.
I hand knit it in a cotton yarn I purchased in Ohio when we lived there.
I saw another shawl pattern made in the Fiberworks (the LYS) when I lived in Dayton. It was made with the same cotton yarn. I thought when the yarn was knit up it was the perfect weight for a summertime evening wrap.
